Maybe I'm just fussy, I don't know, but if I have a salad, there are certain things that just shouldn't be in it.
Fruit? Absolutely fucking not! I mean, come on, you're having a nice savoury salad and some tit throws in bits of apple. Idiots.
So that really goes without saying and I think the majority of people with more than one braincell and an ounce of taste would agree with me.
But there are some other things that I cannot abide in salads:
Raw onions
Green, red or yellow peppers
Unpeeled cucumber
Check this out; another offering from Lyle and Shaw...
The salad itself is lovely; fresh mixed leaved, fresh juicy crayfish tails, fresh cherry tomatoes, accompanied with a rather nice Moroccan style dressing. But what the hell is going on with that added mix of what can only be described as NIGHTMARE.
On delving deeper, I was horrified to find these!
They were quite tasty though.
Virgin
There's something wonderfully fantastic about a fresh pot of lip balm or hand cream, untouched by anything, not a single mark on its perfect surface.
Beautiful. And yet once that lid is removed, it's just a matter of time before its surface becomes broken, never to return to its original state.
Never again will that pot of Carmex be whole. Never again will it have that perfect smooth surface.
It's because of this, that I find myself buying a pot of Carmex every time I see one. I must have ten of the things knocking about at the moment. Lovely.
It comes in tubes as well, but they're not as much fun.
Twat of the week
I'm not saying anything, but if you want an explanation, click here.

I love red, green, yellow, orange and any other kind of pepper in salad. It's a must. As for Onions... I'm with you on that one. Fruit, hmmmm, I put apple in this lovely curried rice salad I make - does that cout as twattish?
If you expect your cucumber to be peeled, I'd say you maaaay be a little fussy, no?
I'm with pissoff: peppers in salads are usually a good idea. But then it depends on the type of salad, doesn't it? Some ingredients compliment each other nicely - thus I'll happily chow down on rocket, goats cheese and pear; or spinach and orange. But throw tomatoes/cucumber/onion/pepper in with either of those and you've got disaster on your hands.
I maaaay seem a bit fussy re the peeled cucumbers, but that's how it's done in Italy and it's what I've always been used to. Cucumber skin is vile.
What's vile is the picture of that guy on your page.
Nasty.
I like long english cuke skin but the field cucumbers must be peeled.
That's my position and I'm sticking to it.
Picky, picky, picky.
Cucumber must be peeled. Gives me horrible wind otherwise.
No orange in salad ever.
I heard that kid's mum interviewed. Even she said he was a twat.
Cucumbers sans skin are the way to go. Take the seeds out while you're at it. I hate seedy things in my salads - tomato seeds, cucumber seeds, god forbid there should be poppy seed dressing. Blech. We are of the same opinion re: fruit in salad, too. Ick. Ew. No.
I like onions & peppers in my salad, though. Cheese, too. Grated carrot, pickled beets, hard-boiled egg, crumbled bacon, chickpeas, croutons, and about a gallon of 1000 Island salad dressing. Now, that's an American Salad.
But... but... then what would you put in a fruit salad or hawaiian salad or ambrosia salad?
Peppers are gross in any form. Can't eat cucumber as it gives me chronic indigestion.
Looking at that picture of that boy makes me want to pick scabs - and that is seriously gross
Pissoff, I thought your position was the touching toes one. Ahem....
